This is the second time I’ve paired this shirt with this skirt but, as you can see, I’ve totally changed the accessories to make it seem like an entirely new outfit.  Different necklace, different belt, and different shoes.

Sometimes changing up the accessories is all you need to make the same pieces seem new again.

In honor of today’s What I Wore challenge I decided to go a little stripe crazy here at Loop Looks!  Today you can check out a whole bunch of other looks featuring stripes over at What I Wore!  I submitted two of my more recent stripes outfits.

Actually, almost all my outfits with stripes are recent seeing as I owned exactly one article of striped clothing (not counting pinstripes) prior to this year.

But now stripes are one of my favorite things to wear.  So here’s a little tribute to the stripes in my closet I’ve worn over the past few months.

Why am I calling this look Inspired Denim?  Because it was inspired by an outfit idea from The Gap:

It feels a little casual for a non-summer weekday in the office but since I don’t have any meetings I think it will fly.

One of the blogs I read (You Look Fab) HATES cropped pants.  I, on the other hand, think they are a staple of office wear when you live in a city that gets hot and humid for a few months out of the year.  And since our hot weather has shown up a bit earlier than usual so did the cropped pants.

Our last day in New York!   We spent the morning running in Central Park and the rest of the day walking all over Midtown.  I dressed much more appropriately for the gray, drizzly, chilly weather and was very happy.

This outfit went with me to lunch in Times Square, to see Rockefeller Plaza, the Empire State building, Grand Central Station, and, obviously, the New York Public Library among many other sights.

We packed a lot into the few days we had and I think I got a great taste of NYC.

I’m still sick, for sure.  But the show must go on right?  So, this is my work uniform when I’m feeling under the weather.  Simple, comfy, but still a bit stylish.

I’m stupidly in love with this outfit.  And I never would have thought to put it together except I saw the idea on a fashion blog:

And thanks to Pinterest, I was able to pull the photo up on my iPhone while getting dressed Wednesday morning and recreate the outfit! 

I got quite a few compliments on my necklace, as well. 

All in all, a feel good outfit for me.
