For the past few months Jason and I have been trying to have a date night of some kind each week. However, recently our date nights have consisted of viewing apartments, townhomes, or duplexes that have garage space where Jason can work on his car.
Yes, there’s a really good chance we’ll be moving out of Chicago’s West Loop. This makes me sad but I’m trying to look forward to a discovering a new neighborhood. Our plan is to stay in the city, though. Our lease isn’t up for several months, however, so I’m a bit stressed about what happens if we find a great spot but can’t find someone to take over our lease.
Speaking of which, anyone want to rent an awesome condo in the West Loop?? I’m not kidding.
Anyway, when we weren’t looking at places, I kept busy doing other things. Such as…
Kept up with my marathon training and weight lifting
And, of course, wearing outfits. Below are this month’s choices for your voting pleasure. My favorite is probably the cold-shoulder top outfit. Although I’ve now worn the purple sweater outfit at least three times. So, that one wins for comfiest!
Anyway, since I also wore clothes in October and took a few pictures of some of those outfits, did I have a favorite of the ones I shared? Well, if I went based on the number of times I wore an outfit, it would be this one.
But, in terms of the one I like the look of best, it would be this one:
And what about you? Did you think October flew by? What were you up to? And what was your favorite outfit? Vote below!
I just loved how this outfit felt, looked, and took advantage of an item (the sports bra) I didn’t even buy with the intention of wearing with this dress. Sometimes my sub-conscious must be working overtime.
Anyway, now it’s time for you to vote for your favorite! Just use the poll below the collage to make your choice. Hopefully it will be less contentious than the U.S. election season, am I right?
Let’s take a minute and talk about summer. And August. And how I barely posted any outfits in August! Which should make choosing your favorite pretty easy, right? Anyway, I wasn’t really posting outfits because I was keeping pretty busy and when I’m busy it actually means less time for photos.
I had a lot of fun in August, though! Here’s a sampling of what I was up to.
So, of course, now we move on to the voting portion of today’s post. Only four options to pick from and, to be honest, I loved all of them. Although, I think I felt the sassiest in the black peplum top and striped skirt.
But I’m really more interested in your opinion. Which is your favorite? Vote below!
P.S. I’m wearing something from Le Tote in every single one of these outfits AND I have three FREE totes to give away! If you’re interested, leave me a comment with the email address where you want me to send the invite.
When I put together these collages it’s always fun to see if there were any patterns to my outfits. Turns out for July the theme appears to be “dresses”. Seriously. I think I wore every dress I could get my hands on!
But what was I doing during the rest of the month whether or not I was wearing a dress?
Working at packet pickup and as a course marshall for the Waterfall Glen Xtreme 10 Mile race
Volunteering at the Hemingway 8K in Oak Park
Riding my bike 40 miles with Live Grit
Buying a new dishwasher
Watching Jason race his car and visiting his grandmother in Indiana
Attending book club at Emily’s
Not writing as many blog posts as I would like
Playing Diablo II with Jason
Working the day job
Watching Slasher on Netflix (SO GOOD!)
But back to those dresses. I didn’t do nearly as many outfit posts this month so there are only five outfits to choose from when voting for your favorite. That might make it easier or harder, I’m not sure!
Well, here we are at the end of another month. I’ve been doing my best to take advantage of the summer which is why it’s been kind of quiet off and on around here. Also, I’m about to start a pretty busy period at work but I’m hopeful that due to a few changes it won’t be AS crazy as the last time. As the person in charge of new employee training it helps when they start a bunch of new hires on the same day as opposed to staggered starts!
Anyway, what have I been up to so far this summer? Well, in the month of June I:
I have a feeling I know what outfit you all are going to pick for May. Although, you might surprise me! But, before we get to my pick and your chance to vote, let’s do a little recap of some of what I was up to in May.
I worked at the Wisconsin Marathon on what might have been the windiest day ever.
I’ll get into it a little more in my goals post tomorrow, but May was a tough month for me. I’m honestly not sure why, but I’ve been feeling a little lost and aimless. Not sure what that means. Maybe it’s just the change in the seasons!
Anyway, on to happier things. Like awesome outfits! So, which one did I pick as my favorite for May?
Yep, I went with this outfit because I actually wore it twice which is how I know it’s a winner.
Which one is the winner for you? Vote below for your favorite!
Went to the One of a Kind Show with my parents and then had lunch at Hampton Social
Got two cavities filled
Wrote 19 blog posts
And I’m sure other stuff I’m forgetting. I am super swamped at my day job right now and, while I love to be busy, it does leave my brain pretty drained by the end of the day!
So, let’s move on. Favorite outfit of April? Well, to be honest, I struggle with spring weather. I also struggled getting outfit photos consistently. In a way, I feel like maybe the outfit I loved the most didn’t get photographed. So, instead of being the best outfit of April, this is just a tribute.
Even though I said this jacket made me feel a little bit like a linebacker, I just keep gravitating towards this outfit when I look at the pictures. Whether it’s the red or the pattern mixing or just that I remember being comfy when I wore it, this outfit stands out as my favorite for the month.
So, now, what’s yours? Don’t forget to vote below!
