It’s winter in Chicago. And this winter that means snow. A lot of it. It also means gray skies, cold days, and the desire to hibernate for the next few months.
So, I felt it was appropriate that for this week’s Style Imitating Art challenge I would pick an iconic Chicago-in-winter image: Cloud Gate in the snow.
Cloud Gate, aka The Bean, is located in the heart of Millennium Park which sits between The Loop and the lake. In the summer it’s crawling with tourist and it’s very photogenic.
I also chose this photograph because it goes with my current aesthetic: gray, black, white, and silver. I don’t know I’ll be able to get my own photo at The Bean but I’ll see what I can do.
You don’t need to take a photo at The Bean to participate in this week’s Style Imitating Art challenge, though! Just snap a photo of your outfit (selfies and flat-lays are fine) and email it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org before 9PM Central Time on Tuesday, February 20th. I’ll include it in the round-up on Wednesday the 21st.
