If you’re reading this while off work for Labor Day in the United States, well, I hope that just means you have more time to enjoy your morning routine (with or without coffee). If you’re reading this while back at work after a holiday, I hope your coffee or other morning pick-me-up is working!
Why am I talking about coffee? Because this week’s Style Imitating Art challenge features a coffee painting!
I’ve talked about GrowARTS before and I love featuring their artwork on my blog. This time, though, I’ve gone ahead and purchased the artwork. But I’m not keeping it. Instead, I’m going to give it away!
Everyone who participates in this week’s Style Imitating Art challenge and submits a photo of their outfit will be entered to win either the painting itself or a notecard made from an image of the painting!
So, how do you enter?
Just use this painting to inspire you to come up with an outfit and take a picture! You can do a mirror selfie, a flat lay (where you lay the outfit out on the floor or a table and take a photo), or have someone else take your picture while you’re wearing the outfit. Then email that photo to me at firstname.lastname@example.org by 7PM Central Time on Tuesday, September 12th.
You can also participate on Instagram by sharing your outfit photo, tagging me (@looplooks) and adding the hashtag #SIAChallenge.
I’ll draw a winner and announce them in the round-up post on Wednesday, September 13th.
You can use the colors in the painting, the round shape of the cup or coffee beans (polka dots!), wear something coffee colored, or just wear whatever comes to mind when you see this painting. There’s never just one way to interpret art and that’s why this challenge is so fun!
I’m looking forward to seeing all the entries!
