An unexpected portrait [SIA Post]

Style Imitating Art

This week’s Style Imitating Art choice from Jen comes from an interesting source: Pixabay.com. Pixabay is a repository of public domain graphics, images and, apparently, art! Jen uses this website to find images for presentations and trainings and, interestingly enough, I do too. I actually found out about it from our training video producer who works for me. Of course, I’ve never looked for art so kudos to Jen for thinking outside the box and finding this.

Jen, being a good librarian, did some research and discovered the artist’s name and some more of her art here.

I’m hoping I have time this weekend to take some outfit photos for the blog (although the weather is not going to be particularly cooperative). I didn’t have any time to take photos this past week or weekend, sadly. Pretty sure the jeans a t-shirt I wore to paint our old apartment wouldn’t make for good blog fodder.

Anyway, if YOU have time to snap a photo of an outfit you put together based on this painting, just send it to Jen at librarianforlifestyle@gmail.com by next Monday evening (March 13th) to be featured in the round-up.

The outfit that comes to mind for this photo is the red/black/tan top you gave me for Christmas one year – you also own the exact same top. Perhaps with a pair of bluejeans?
