Time for another chance to take a piece of art and use it to create an outfit! That’s what Style Imitating Art is all about. For this week Salazar chose a gold and green brooch created by jewelry artist René Lalique.
Salazar is currently translating A.S. Byatt’s The Children’s Book which has this brooch on the cover and which references it in the text. She write more in her blog.
I’ll probably go with the green and gold color palate, although there’s some black in there, too. Maybe green and black? Or black and gold? Although, since St. Patrick’s Day is officially on Thursday I should probably go with green.
Don’t forget that you can participate, too! Just send your photo (mirror selfies and flat lays are fine, too!) to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, March 21st.
