On Monday I posted my “no stress holiday party” outfit. But what about when you’re just hanging around with your family or friends and don’t need to be all gussied up?
Well, earlier this year I found the perfect top for just that occasion while perusing the Randolph Street Market.
Top – North & Hudson (same) | Jeans – Old Navy (same) | Boots – Sam Edelman c/o Shopbop (same) | Necklace – Le Tote (same)
Seriously, I actually had a conversation with the owner and creator of North & Hudson clothing about how this is the perfect top to wear at home during the holidays. It’s just festive enough without being ridiculous, right?
I’ve actually worn it to work twice already and it’s also really comfortable. And, yes, it’s handmade.
It does, however, make me want a red scarf. Or maybe to do some pattern mixing with a navy and white striped scarf. Until then I’ll just wear necklaces.
What do you think? What would you pair with this top?
Love love love this top! I have been wanting a plaid top, but all I saw were button ups and they just don’t fit my well in general. This looks so comfy! It’d match with my green Hunters…and it looks like a mustard scarf or olive cargo jacket would work well too! Favoriting this shop on Etsy now…
Perfect just the way you did it! LOVE the hammer/human sculpture!!
I love:
– your top
– your necklace
– the sculpture behind you
I have a red scarf with gold detail, but I think the pattern on my scarf would be too busy with the pattern on the shirt. A plain scarf, though, would look really nice!
Well hey, if you don’t have a red scarf, stand by a very red structure to get the same effect, right? Ha! Seriously though, that is a perfect holiday-but-not-too-much top for all kinds of occasions. LOVE those boots too!

I ADORE this top. It is perfect for the holidays and I love the way it looks with simple jeans – and I bet you could easily dress it up, too!! And so cool to have purchased it locally!
