Then and Now [Vol. 6]

Fluoxetine and abilify · Then and Now

Just over three years ago I wore red pants and black and white stripes on this here blog. And apparently it’s such a classic that I’m wearing it again today.

Which I think just goes to show you that the more things change the more they stay the same.

Although, the necklace, the black blazer, the shoes and the striped shirt are all still in my closet. I really like to hang onto things as long as possible and only replace when they no longer fit, fall apart or no longer fit with my lifestyle.

Take the shoes I’m wearing today, for example. These are replacements for my black Bandolino wedges that had a buckle on the toe and that I wore until the insides literally fell apart. Bri had these on in a post and I thought they would be a good replacement. Turns out they fit great and are quite comfy. So, if you’re in need of black wedges than go for these. They’re on sale right now, too!

And while you’re at it buy some red pants and something striped. Because clearly you’ll get some good use out of those items, too.

I love both outfits! I am slowly incorporating more red into my wardrobe…such a fun pop of color! And those wedges are gorgeous- pretty comfortable to get through the work day would you say? I want the height of a shoe without the pain…sometimes wedges push my toes to the front of the shoe and it can get uncomfortable, but I want the elongating effect that I can’t get with flats!

Red, black, and white is one of my favorite color combos! I have a go-to outfit of a black/white striped sweater that I wear with black pants, red shoes, red scarf, and red jewelry. Same concept as yours. Actually, I do have red pants, too, and could certainly wear them with the top, as well. Such a classic look!

I REALLY like the flip-flopped top pattern/color situation going on here. I think it’s so cool to see the old outfit basically reversed, but it still works so well. The first outfit looks more professional, while this one looks a little more casual, and I think that’s my favorite thing about all of this – how you can dress using more or less the same things for two different environments (your old business casual office vs. your current casual casual office.).
