Through the Windowpane

Casual Friday · Office Appropriate Outfits - Winter

It’s Friday and it’s cold so what’s better than a sweater layered over a button up shirt? Not much, I tell you.

I bought this sweater as a replacement for a similarly colored argyle one that I ended up sending to ThredUp. You may recall my last adventure with ThredUp was less than stellar but this time I only sent items that my local consignment shop wouldn’t take (they don’t take Gap items and the sweater was from the Gap). They’re items I would have donated to Goodwill anyway so I figured, hey, why not try it again? They just got my bag o’stuff so we’ll see what happens in a few weeks!

Topic change! I’m REALLY glad it’s Friday. I even only worked 4 days this week. I took Wednesday off to go to the Chicago Auto Show with Jason and while it was nice to have a break in the middle of the week, it also kind of meant I had two Mondays. Blergh.

Thankfully, this weekend is going to be filled with puppies and friends. Chewie is due for his annual vet visit and then I’m meeting some people for lunch. On Sunday I’m doing my first volunteer shift with PAWS Chicago.

How about you? Are you glad it’s Friday? Are you doing anything fun this weekend?

Ooooh I <3 the sparkles on your sweater! What a nice touch!

Are you volunteering at 26th St. this weekend or the adoption center? I…once again have totally dropped the ball on my PAWS volunteering. I suck 🙁 When I was consistent/good about volunteering, though, Sundays were definitely my go-to day! Lots of activity at the AC on Sundays, which makes it fun.

I’m going for my first shift at the Adoption Center! It’s been almost two months since I went for orientation, though, so I’m happy I’ll be with a mentor since I surely don’t remember what to do!
