Today I got to do one of the best things I’ve done all year: I awarded a trophy to a department that had done some amazing things and ended up going almost completely paperless. You should have seen the excitement in their faces when I handed them their giant trophy at our annual appreciation breakfast. Made my entire day.

One of the things I love about my job is training people to take control of their environments and make their lives easier. Unfortunately this is just a small piece of my job. I’d love to do it full time! Helping people is a passion of mine.

Because I don’t get to do that full time is one of the reasons I have this blog. Am I the best dresser on the planet? Nope. Do I expect you will run out and copy every single outfit I wear? Nope. But when people tell me that my blog has inspired them to look at their closet in a new way it gives me the same feeling I got when I saw how thrilled that department’s staff was to have that trophy.

So, thanks to those of you who give me those trophies. It makes what I do here more worthwhile.

Ooo, that is awesome they went paperless! I hope that trophy reminds them to keep it up! Although I am sure being free of all that paper clutter will be reward enough to remind them 🙂 I am so happy we went paperless a few years ago!

Oh, they’ll definitely keep it up. They love not having tons and tons of files taking up space and getting lost! I wish more departments did it that way.

Ok, so I really like this look… super polished and classic. And because I sometimes name my looks based on how they make me feel, I saw the title of this post and looked at the outfit, and immediately thought you’d chosen the name because it made you feel like a trophy wife! ROFL!

Anyway, pretty cool that you got to award a trophy at work. A little recognition like that can go a long way for an employee or a team to continue working as hard as they are, and I like that you had a part in keeping that spirit alive 🙂

Aww, thank you! I recently found some criticism of myself online and it stupidly got me down. So I had to remind myself to focus on those of you who I love 🙂

I made my job about 95% paperless like 5 years ago and made a presentation to my team about how they could do the same and…. unfortunately I’m still the only one working without paper. But I want a trophy too! 🙂
