Aaaaand we’re back to real life. It sounds like you all really enjoyed my Chicago Boutique Week last week, though! I hope I can find more local boutiques to partner with. If you know of one, let me know!

After a week of fun in the sun I’m happy that the Chicago weather is cooperating and allowing me to ease back into the chilly temperatures. I mean, look, it’s even warm enough for me to finally break out this sleeveless top I won from Engineering in Style!

I admit, I ordered this top because I thought it looked stunning on the model. And then I put it on and remembered I am not a model. It’s interesting; this top is actually a bodysuit. Anyone else remember those? Remember how we struggled with the crotch snaps? Or is that just me?

Anyway, Bradamant wants to make the bodysuit more luxurious. This one definitely has unique styling and all of their bodysuits have adjustable hook and eye closures (similar to a bra strap) instead of snaps. This top is very well constructed but I think I lack A. the long neck and B. the correctly sized torso to really pull it off. I may try it with higher waisted pants or a skirt next time, even though that may make me look like I have even less of a torso.

At least now I have a tan so that I’m not the same color as the fabric?

I like that top! I think you can pull it off! I am curious about the benefits of a body suit – is it that you don’t have to tuck it in?

With a body suit you don’t have any issues with shirts pulling out of the back of your pants when you sit down or bend over. Also, the idea is that it will stay tucked in and not ride up or look as bulky.

Hahaha I had one or two body suits in elementary school (hand-me-downs, I believe), and oh MAN did they make me feel grown up! Kind of a weird concept in general, though. I really like that top, though. It’s super unique and I love the neck design!

The website suggest wearing it with high waisted pants or skirts so I’m definitely going to try that. I love how different the neckline is and my boss complimented me on it, so maybe I’m just super critical of myself 🙂
