Cardigan – Target via clothing swap (same) | Shirt – J. Crew Factory via ebay (similar) | Pants – The Limited (similar) | Belt – Target (same) | Shoes – Bandolino (same)

Here’s the deal. Just because you see something on Pinterest that catches your eye doesn’t mean you have to recreate it exactly. Take, for example, the prompt for today.

I don’t own anything coral (yes, the orange sweater I mentioned on Tuesday has been returned) and I can’t wear jeans on a Thursday. But, I actually own that exact same top so I paired it with black dress pants and a cardigan that I’m pretty sure I got from Sierra at the clothing swap I went to on Saturday. Pants + leopard print blouse + cardigan + brown belt = similar outfit.

Don’t have a leopard print blouse? Just wear something printed! Cardigan + prints = fun outfit!

And in case you’re wondering why this post is kind of short, well, you can thank the Library Bar at the Public  Hotel for that. Complimentary drinks and food for the Windy City Bloggers Collective Happy Hour on Wednesday night? Let’s just say I took full advantage.

You know I’m going to ask about how you tuck your shirt in nicely to pants… I’ve mastered the pencil skirt, now teach me the ways of tucking it into pants without it looking ridiculous…

I actually like your version of this look so much more, you always make leopard work for you but this one is an instant fav. I think it’s the stripe on your cardigan that really pulls it all together and the bow belt is a cute, playful touch.
