Argh! For some reason I am unable to access my blog from my home network so posts this week might be a little sporadic until GoDaddy gets their act together. Thankfully Jason, who worked in IT for 10 years doing mostly computer networking stuff, was able to give me the lingo so I could explain what’s happening to the GoDaddy support team. But, we’ll see how long it takes to get resolved.

But enough about that. As I mentioned last week, I’m planning to spend the rest of this month (at least until I go on vacation to Puerto Rico!) participating in the Pinned It and Did It event I learned about via H&K Style Journey. Heather and her friends put together a calendar full of outfits to recreate each day this month. And today’s outfit? Navy, turquoise and tan.

It occurred to me after the fact that my cobalt blue dress is probably a better match than the navy top and skirt I have on (and, yes, they are both navy not black), but I liked the cardigan better with the pencil skirt.

Also, the weather may be acting better this week but it’s definitely not sandal weather!! So, brown heels it is.

Overall, I like the neutral tones in this outfit with just a bit of color from the necklace. What do you think? How would you interpret this outfit with what you have in your closet?

Here are a few more outfits I’ve worn with these pieces:

In this case I think I went with untucked because the shirt fit closely enough to my body without being skin tight that it didn’t make me look too voluminous. Also, it just made me look taller this way 🙂

I’ve never thought to put turquoise and navy together, but I really like how that looks. I think tan actually looks really good with navy, too. I don’t own much navy, and I always have trouble figuring out what to wear with the navy I do have, but I like these ideas a lot!

I have precisely zero navy blue items in my closet so I’d be SOL if I had to re-create this outfit! The closest thing I have is a cobalt beach cover up which is not appropriate for anything other than the beach, so I’d fail this challenge. BUT…it sounds fun and I want to check out the details. Thanks for linking up!

There are a few outfits in the challenge where I’m like, “Uh. I don’t own ANYTHING that color.” So instead I’ll go with the spirit of the outfit instead 🙂

I admit, I thought it was black! Either way though – it looks great. That necklace is amazing! Loved your Pinterpretation!
