First, have you voted for your favorite outfit of February yet? I’ll be posting the winner on my Pinterest board next week so get your vote in now!

Second, you may or may not notice that I categorize all my outfit posts with the season. I’ve got Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. Today’s outfit, though? I’m putting in both Winter and Spring. Why? Because technically you can put March into meteorological spring. But it was snowing when I left the house on Monday morning. And I had to layer a shirt, sweater and a blazer since the air temperature was something like 8 degrees.

So, yes, it’s kind of spring. But it’s also mostly winter. Hence both categories.

Also, I’ve decided that it’s a good thing that Hollywood is in California. I attended an Oscars shindig last night with the Windy City Blogger Collective (you can see pictures of my outfit and hair on Facebook) and trying to navigate the snow, slush and ice in 4” strappy heels was quite the challenge.

And speaking of challenges (gee, I’m just knocking these segues out of the park today, right?), H&K Style Journey and some buddies are currently doing a month long challenge where everyone participating interprets the same outfit each day. As you know, I plan my outfits out a week in advance so I’m not participating this week, but I will be for the rest of the month!

Hey, you guys did tell me you wanted to see more fashion challenges and more Pinterest interpretations! Should be a fun time. Feel free to play along!

P.S. I recently wrote an article about SEO (search engine optimization) for bloggers from a non-expert perspective (meaning in plain language) that you might find helpful! It should be up on the Windy City Blogger’s website today.

I just installed Yoast…now I have to get into the habit of using it! Great tips- I never would have known about symbols in the blog title! And this style challenge looks like SO much fun! (If anything, it will give me some direction on what to wear for the week to make it easy for myself!)

I didn’t know many of those tips, either, until I attended as session on SEO for ChicagoNow bloggers. Thankfully this blog is on the same platform (WordPress) so it makes it easier to apply all the stuff I learned.
