It may almost be March but the weather in Chicago is still throwing sub-freezing temperatures our way. Which means that today I’m wearing double sweaters. Yes, that’s right, I have on a cardigan sweater over a turtleneck sweater. And I’m nice and toasty.

Seriously, I honestly never thought about putting a cardigan sweater over another sweater. Other than those sweater twin-sets that were all the rage when I was in high school, I mean. Anyway, this particular cardigan works well because it’s almost like a jacket. Which means it’s not too clingy with the sweater underneath.

I actually really ended up liking this outfit. I can even recreate it for a non-Friday and just wear it with black dress pants, too! Or I could wear a different colored turtleneck underneath. Maybe blue? See? Sweaters upon sweaters can be super versatile!

Oh my gosh, I had completely forgotten about those sweater twin-sets! Ha ha ha!

That striped sweater is fun! 🙂 I really like black, white and red together.

Oh man, story of my life this winter. I actually wore a turtleneck under a crew neck sweater earlier this week! I’ve had a couple go-to polar vortex outfits, and one of them has also been a cardigan over a v-neck sweater (with another shirt under that v-neck). To be honest, though, I can’t remember the last time I only wore one top of any variety to work…or just in life in general. I guess at least I’m getting a lot of usage out of my clothes? Haha.

I was really cold at the office earlier in the week. I was wearing a long sleeve shirt, and ended up also wearing the bulky cardigan I keep at my desk.

Strangely, my office isn’t that cold. I think it’s because when it’s sunny I get blasted with sun all afternoon. The downside? I get HOT in my winter gear.
