Gotta love the PPE accessory. That’s “personal protective equipment” for all of you who don’t have a chemist in your life.

I suppose you’re all aware that Valentine’s Day is coming up. And while my husband and I don’t plan to do anything special other than order Thai food and sit on our couch I thought it might be fun to show you how I would transform this outfit from a day in the office (or, in this case, my husband’s chemistry lab) to a night on the town!

Valentine's Day Date Outfit

Just swap out the black dress pants for a fun mini skirt (sequins optional but I always go for sparkly) and you have a fun date night look! It’s just that easy. In fact, it’s so easy that the rest of this week I’ll be showing you fun and quick ways to transform a work look to a date look. Just let me get out the lab…

Don’t laugh, but I know you had just gone to the eye doctor so I thought those were your new glasses! It took me a moment to notice the background and then I was like, “OHHHH, that makes more sense!!!!” =D

Really cute, chic outfit! I especially love the tights. I am all about outfits with easy “day-to-evening” transitions.

I love that jacket! I have a very similar one in green tones that now I want to pair with my green sweater. I think a sequin skirt (or even a leather one) would be a perfect way to go from the office to a date!

I like to hear when other couples don’t really have huge Valentine’s plans. For years it felt like hubs and I were the only ones who were kinda “meh” about it. I think we even had a span of not even exchanging cards.
