I shared this outfit last week on Instagram but since it features my warmest sweater and my warmest pair of pants I had to re-wear it again today, the coldest day so far this week.

Also, I need to ask you all a question. See, I don’t wear lipstick on a regular basis, but this week’s Trend Spin was to feature a bold lip. I put on some Red Apple Lipstick before I left the house but then spent my entire commute with my scarf up over my nose and mouth worrying that I was smearing lipstick all over my scarf. So, do you just put on lipstick after you get wherever you’re going?  Please school me in the way of lip color!

Oh, and I know I’m wearing black shoes even though it’s still the January Black Out Challenge. I hope you will all forgive me.

There are several lipsticks on the market, I use “24 Hour” I almost think it is Cover Girl that has a sealer with it. You put it on, let it dry a bit, then cover it over with something similar to chapstick……..it is all in one case………and it does last a long long time and it doesn’t smear.
Good luck! I gave up on the traditional goo.

One of my coworkers spent most of her morning in her emergency sweatshirt because it was so cold in our offices. Thankfully the sweatshirt had the name of our university on it :-)

Also, my sweater’s actually a really dark purple but it’s super difficult to photograph.

In this weather, yeah, I save my lipstick for when I get where I’m going. I have one scarf that’s covered in lipstick stains b/c I didn’t think that through (it’s white, and I was wearing red lipstick – woops!). I also use a lip stain from time to time, which doesn’t come off as easily.

I like that you’ve dressed up what’s otherwise a casual sweater for work.
