So, if you follow me on Facebook you know that this weekend I was on the hunt for a pair of navy blue pumps. Why? Because I only owned navy blue heeled sandals (seen here) and that just wasn’t going to work now that I’m wearing navy tights. I suppose I could have worn black shoes but, hey, I’m down for an excuse to fill a hole in my closet.

Which meant off to the stores I went. My new Fitbit (birthday present from my mom) tells me I walked over 5 miles on the hunt for navy heels. I finally located these, which I loved because of the ankle strap, but the DSW I was at didn’t have my size. Thankfully the salesperson was nice enough to locate them for me at another DSW and off I went.

Also while I was out, I picked up this necklace at Express. With a $10 customer reward plus a $15 off my purchase coupon this $35 necklace came to $10 plus tax. SCORE!

All of that because I fell in love with this outfit and wanted to recreate the emerald green and pink combo for today’s Trend Spin Link-Up. But, lest you think I just went shopping so I could recreate the outfit, that’s not entirely true. Both the necklace and the shoes were items I’d had on my wish list for awhile. The outfit was just the impetus to actually purchase them. Well, that and coupons.  The shoes were actually 40% off in the store and I had a $5 birthday coupon there as well.

And the snow? That’s just par for the course around here.

They were! I bought them a tad bit big and the suede stretched nicely. If they didn’t have the ankle strap they’d be too big, but with the ankle strap they’re perfect.

Oooh, what kind of Fitbit did you get? I’ve been toying with the idea of a Fitbit for quite some time, but the $100 price tag kind of turns me off. It seems like a worthwhile investment, though, and at some point in the next few months I should have a tax refund coming my way anyway…

Very cute shoes! A nice way to avoid black but still wear something dark enough to not get totally dirty courtesy of the snow.

I have the Fitbit Flex. I’m still figuring out what all the lights and buzzing mean!

As for getting my shoes dirty, I totally commute in boots. Either my Uggs, my Sorels or my Kamik’s depending on the temperature and the level of snowy or slush outside. I just change into my shoes when I get to the office.

I love all of these bright colors together! I have the blue check shirt, a similar necklace, but a green skirt and a pink sweater… hmm…. wonder if the inverse of your outfit would be just as cute 🙂

Oh, what I wouldn’t give for 50 degrees! I think it’s all of 8 here today.

And thank you for the lovely compliments. I felt pretty fierce in this outfit and I think it shows!
