I’m not sure there’s anything particularly spectacular about this outfit. I mean, it’s monochrome gray with a jacket, a pencil skirt, and a lace tee. However, I still got two compliments on this outfit. One coworker said he loved my necklace and another said he loved my jacket (yes, both were compliments from guys. Guys who do not bat for my team, if you get my drift). I think it must be the combination of the moto jacket style with the tailored skirt. That gives a little edge to a more traditional item. Plus, when paired with the girly lace and pearls you get an overall look that says feminine but not boring.

I actually got the idea to wear this outfit from this pin.

Of course, my jacket is knit, not leather and my skirt is a knee-length pencil skirt not a knit midi skirt. But overall I think I made this look work for my purposes. Plus, you know, compliments. Those are always nice.

Thoughts on monochrome outfits? Would you wear all gray?

I like this outfit! (I’m still reading, just don’t comment too often). I’ve loved all your outfits so far this month and can already tell I’ll have trouble choosing a favorite!

Hahah, it’s my apartment building’s “business center”. Which is also apparently where people dump books they no longer want when they move. Although, I did find a copy of Under the Dome which I’ve been wanting to read, so score one for the random book selection!
