Favorite Outfit of December

Office Appropriate Outfits - Winter

Look! I’m back! And Happy New Year to all of you. I’m officially back in the office this week but I thought we’d ease into the new year with voting for your favorite outfit of December 2013. I’m saving my year in review for the blog’s two-year anniversary in February!

I’m going to be honest and tell you it was actually really difficult to choose a favorite outfit from this December. Even though the weather was rough for a good portion of the month I still managed to not resort to black pants and turtlenecks which used to be my uniform for years. Nothing wrong with that if that’s what makes you feel confident, but it just made me feel like a little kid. So I’m happy I was able to wear colored pants, sequins, and fun silhouettes, textures and patterns.

But, if I’m going to play by my own rules, I suppose I have to pick one outfit. And it’s totally going to be my sequined skirt.

I got so many compliments on this outfit and even survived tromping around in the snow on one of our first super cold days. Plus, it’s just so festive!

So, now it’s your turn. Tell me, what was your favorite outfit of December 2013? Remember, you can see all the past winners on my My Favorite Looks Pinterest board. But first, vote below!

Yep, I agree, that’s definitely my favorite for the month!

My winter work wardrobe definitely used to be nothing but black pants and sweaters. Like you said, nothing wrong with it, but there’s ways to at least add some visual interest. Although now that my office has a casual dress code, it’s really tempting to just wear jeans and sweaters all the time.

for me it was a toss up between the purple dress and the sequined skirt. in the end i chose the skirt. it is snazzy!
