I know you’ve slept since then, but remember on Tuesday when I wore a green sweater? Well, that’s the piece I chose to “pass on” to today’s outfit as part of the Take One, Pass It On challenge. Admittedly, I struggled with whether or not to wear the emerald green sweater with the cobalt pants and the polka dots because I was afraid it would look too clownish. But in the end I obviously went with the two bright colors and just decided that I would be vibrant today.

I also think this would look good with tan, gray, or navy bottoms. Or, if the polka dots on my top were black instead of navy, black pants or skirt. Or, you know, if you had some, you could wear it with purple bottoms. Or jeans. But since it’s Thursday and not Friday no jeans for me.

But, speaking of jeans, you can probably guess what I’ll be taking from this outfit to wear on Friday, yes?

Oooh, I’m surprised! Out of all the things I thought you might pass on from Tuesday’s outfit, the shirt definitely was not one of them! I like that you did, though, because I think you’ve really showed off the versatility of both that shirt and honestly shirts like that in general. Even though it’s clearly the same item, wearing it in a different way makes it like it’s a completely different item. Double the wardrobe!

I love this! Look at how much more the emerald green pops against the bright blue pants! This is a perfect jewel-tone outfit 🙂

I like the vibrant color combination, especially with the red coat! (But I can see how the sweater would go well with navy/black/gray bottoms too.) Do you have more “vibrant” tops or bottoms? (I’m guessing tops?)

Well, I have these blue pants, green pants the same color as this sweater, and red pants. As for tops, I think I trend towards those same colors with a few pinks and purples thrown in but I’d actually say I have more bright pants than anything else!

I love this! I wore a green skirt with that cobalt zipper shirt I have with black tights and booties to work last week and got SO many compliments! Who says you can’t be colorful in the winter too 🙂

Wow, I love how emerald and cobalt look together! I’d never think to pair those colors but it definitely works! The polka dots tie it all together really nicely!

The funny thing is that I had these pants hanging in my closet right next to my emerald green ankle pants but yet never really knew if the colors went together or not!
