Remember the dress I wore on Tuesday? Yes, I’m wearing it again. Except this time I put it UNDER a pencil skirt to turn it into a shirt. Crazy, right? I’ve seen other bloggers do this from time to time but didn’t ever think about doing it myself until I started doing this 7×7 remix. And then I got to thinking: which of my dresses can also be worn under skirts? Well, since this dress is kind of fitted it actually works!

So, there you go. Dress or shirt? It’s both!

Oh, while I’m spewing all kinds of words at you this week, do you also remember when I lost my wedding ring? Well I finally got my new one! It’s the same as the old one but this one was custom made so it fits around my engagement ring even better. Oh, it also has slightly larger diamonds.

So, yeah, losing my wedding ring kind of sucked but I really like my replacement.

I seriously think the pencil skirt + dress combination is SO creative. I never think to wear dresses as anything other than, you know, dresses, but this seems like a great way to get more mileage out of them (and especially if you do the shirt-over-dress thing too — it’s like your dress is three different pieces that way!).

I didn’t notice the non-diamonds right away, but those are a nice, personal touch! Our wedding rings have both of our birthstones in them too :)
