Day three of the 7×7 remix is here with pants from Monday, cardigan from yesterday, and a new top! A comment on Monday’s post made me realize that while challenges like this are fun we probably all have items in our closet we don’t wear enough as it is. However, I think challenges such as the 7×7 are perfect to help you think about what to pack when you’re traveling.

For example, if I was going to a week long business conference I could pack these seven pieces plus some accessories and shoes (and, to be honest, I could definitely whittle down the number of shoes I needed to take) and I’d have enough outfits to last me all week and then some! Pretty nifty, huh?

By the way, at the end of the week I’ll be doing a full discussion of why I chose the pieces I did. I hope you’ll stick around and read it!

For now, though, I want to tell you about the amazing Midwest Style Bloggers brunch I attended on Saturday at Quay Chicago.

Twenty Chicago-area based style bloggers met at 10:15 on Saturday morning to chat about our blogs, what we love about Chicago, who takes our pictures, and just about everything else. Quay has a beautiful private party room (that I forgot to get a picture of. I fail at blogging sometimes.) and treated us wonderfully. Breakfast was tasty (ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and berries, anyone?) and the company was fabulous.

I even met another blogger, Jill from HOT PINK Style, who lives in my neighborhood!

Loop Looks and HOT PINK Style

Good lord, I could have used some more sleep last week

Our hosts from the Midwest Style Bloggers did a great job getting us all kinds of fun goodies. I won a copy of You Know Everybody!: A Career Girl’s Guide to Building a Network That Works which I think will be very useful for me. But we all walked away with tons of items from the generous sponsors (all listed above).

So thank you again to Midwest Style Bloggers Amanda, Sarah, Maya, and Alison for putting this together!

UGH Lindsay stole my comment. That’s exactly what I intended to say. I was also going to make a comment on how fantastic those pancakes sound, however, so I’ll just focus on that instead. I learned earlier this year that lemon + blueberry is quite possibly the best fruit + fruit combination ever, and, let’s be real: I am ALL about pancakes. Like, only-halfway-kidding-when-I-say-I-run-for-the-post-run-pancakes all about pancakes. Naturally, ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and berries sound like something I could definitely get on board with.
