Bri from Work Clothes, I Suppose said to dress up a t-shirt. So I did. What? You don’t always do what Bri tells you? Bri, however, did NOT tell me to wear all items from The Limited. That was all me and my Limited closet. Har har. See what I did there?

ANYWAY! I admit, I never would have thought to wear this t-shirt with a pencil skirt unless Bri brought it up as an option. Even though I did an entire post that basically included t-shirts with pencil skirts. Funny how that works, huh? And speaking of wearing a t-shirt to work, I think the key is to pair it with other structured pieces if you work in a business or business casual office. Don’t wear them with denim, don’t wear sneakers, but definitely  add some bling!

Of course, if you work in a super casual office you can wear your t-shirts with whatever you want. Except short shorts. Those are never office appropriate. Unless your office involves a pole and you’re not a firefighter.

Woo, sorry for the absence! I think this outfit is really cute and something I would definitely wear. I like the advice of adding bling and structured pieces. Otherwise, I’d just be like “I look different from everyone at the office somehow. It can’t possibly be this teeshirt paired with these jeans and sneakers. Right? RIGHT?!? Hm…must ask Erin.”

Hahahahaha I giggled reading the end of this post. I really like the idea of wearing a t-shirt with a pencil skirt to work. I have a lot of work appropriate t-shirts that are nice (i.e. not race shirts, free shirts, etc) but I only have a few pencil skirts and they’re all colored (not black). Hmm… seems I’m in the market for a black pencil skirt.

I really like the blue and pink/purple color combo! And you make rain look like so much more fun than it is 🙂

“Except short shorts. Those are never office appropriate. Unless your office involves a pole and you’re not a firefighter.” HAHAHA, good tip!

HOORAY t-shirts in the work place! aka my life. Minus the pencil skirt, obviously, though I do always make sure to keep my shorts wonderfully work appropriate 😛

I also really like how matchy-matchy your shoes are with your shirt/skirt. I was trying to come up with some eloquent way to comment on how it goes blue black black blue, but I failed, so we’re just going to go with matchy-matchy. Haha.

I adore this outfit! The colors go together so nicely! I can’t believe you got your tee from The Limited– they really need to come out with some more printed tees.

Hahaha! I totally always do what Bri tells me to do (only slightly joking). I love the colors in this outfit, and that tee is really cute!

“unless your office involves a pole and you’re not a firefighter” I just died laughing out loud by myself in my hotel room. You are hilarious!!!!!!! Love this outfit, btw 🙂
