Tell me: could this outfit get any more girly? Pink pencil skirt, lace top, pearls and a bow? Seriously? Yet, somehow, I think because of the silhouette it falls more on the preppy side than the frilly, girly side. Actually, if I’m wrong please don’t tell me.

Anyway, there are lots of ways you can wear lace and not look girly. I bet you can find some of them at today’s Trend Spin Link-Up since the theme is lace.

Also, if you think a pink pencil skirt looks too girly, well, let me prove you wrong with 8 other ways to wear it! Audrey challenged us to take one piece and show you many ways to wear it. I originally was going to use my lace dress but I thought the pink pencil skirt would be more relatable.

8 Ways to Wear a Pink Skirt

So, there you have it. A pink pencil skirt paired with everything from lace to animal print to chambray. Which look is your favorite?

SUPER cute! I honestly can’t pick a favorite they are all so great! The lace top and the bow belt are all very “Kate Spade” which I love 🙂 Pinning this now for future outfit inspiration (I have a coral pencil skirt that this would work with!)

Absolutely divine. And you CAN be girly and preppy at the same time…………sort of makes it a classic, good for years to come. And, I too, LOVE that lace top!
Gotta get one of them, do they come in turtlenecks with long sleeves? LOL

If ever there were a photo that absolutely screams, “Chicago fashion blogger,” I’d have to say that first photo is it. I ADORE the framing with the Sears/Willis Tower in the background. Also, that belt is too cute. The bow is just perfect!

I think my favorite is still the blazer combo, but I’m obsessed with blazers right now, so I’m biased! =)

I know I said it before, but the short hair is SO pretty on you! It’s really stunning and I think it just adds to your style. I love the lace with the pink pencil skirt, it’s pretty and feminine but it doesn’t feel overly sweet at all. And wow, you’ve gotten a lot of wear out of this one!

Little secret: I actually hadn’t even washed my hair when I took this photo! My short hair seems to play nicely even with bed head 🙂

And, yes, who knew that a bright pink skirt would be so versatile?

  6. Kate

I can’t decide which look I like most! I’m leaning more towards the animal print top with the skirt, it’s super cute and very stylish 🙂

  7. Ashley

I think pink and lace go together perfectly! I love how girly it is 🙂 I also love how you’ve made pink work in the office so well. It’s such a fun bright color and you make it look so professional!

  8. AJ

    A – freaking love this
B – you’re making me lament this adorable hot pink skirt I used to have! I can’t imagine why I ever got rid of it now.
