Even though summer doesn’t technically end until September 22nd, the last week of August always feels like the real end of summer. And since I purchased this floral pencil skirt toward the end of the summer season I wanted to get in at least one wear before I felt like I was wearing flowers in a sea of snow.

Although, to be honest, I kind of like that image. So maybe I’ll just pair this skirt with a sweater and tights and keep on wearing it all year round!

When I took this skirt out of the package my husband looked at it and said, “That doesn’t look like you.” Well, honey, florals were trendy this year. And since I wanted to break out of the solid or neutral colored pencil skirt rut I’ve been in I thought this was the perfect antidote. Plus, it was paid for entirely with Poshmark credit so it’s basically free!

Which means my trendy floral pencil skirt and I are going to enjoy each other for as long as it lasts.

I was thinking as I sweated my way to work today that it would look cute with my navy sweater or black turtleneck or lots of other things. So it might just be making an appearance this winter!

Oh, wow! This skirt is absolutely lovely, Erin! It does look a little brighter than what you usually wear, but I think it’s a perfect fit for you! The colors are fantastic, and I really like the print as well. I definitely think you could wear it all year round with sweaters or cardigans :)
