So, it’s Thursday. It’s actually the third Thursday of August. Do you know what that means? It mean’s it’s time for the Third Thursday Threads link-up at Work Clothes, I Suppose which this week is geometric prints! I admittedly wracked my brain trying to figure out if I had anything geometric and all I came up with was this shirt. I suppose I tend to gravitate towards smaller prints. Or less abstract prints? I don’t know. Regardless, I think this is the only vaguely geometric top I own.

Although, come to think of it, if I own patterned tops they’re typically polka dots or stripes. Or leopard. Funny how we tend to get in a groove, huh?

Are there any patterns that are overly represented in your closet? Any that don’t show up at all?

P.S. I honestly did always hate geometry. In fact, when I took it in high school our teacher said if we had an A in the class before the final then our final exam score wouldn’t count. I worked my butt off and got that A. So I didn’t study for the final. And got a D on the exam. Thank goodness it didn’t count! That’s the lowest grade on anything I’ve ever gotten in my life.

P.P.S.  You might also notice something different about my hair. Yep, I got it cut last night! Shortest it’s been in almost 5 years!

I LOVE your hair- so pretty! And I totally forgot that I have a geometric print top that would have worked for this- dang! Those shoes are fab by the way- are they comfortable?

Does your geometry hate apply to all math? I love math, and found geometry to be extra fun in high school.

I love your hair at this length! I think it looks so cute and fun, but then I’m also a fan of short hair 🙂 I generally don’t buy any prints other than stripes and polka dots either (though I do have a couple florals) – I can’t think of anything geometric that I own.

Oh, I don’t even count stats as math – it was rough! And mind you, I took a relatively easy version of it, “Social Statistics” for my degree.

I hated them both, and still do. Somehow my professors didn’t agree with my “creative” math What? We’re supposed to balance the checkbook? BUT I LOVED geometry, now THAT made sense. LOL
            Love the hair, Erin!!!

Ahhhhhh your hair! It looks SO good! I think “nonexistent” would be the pattern most overrepresented in my closet haha. I definitely tend to go for plain pieces rather than something patterned. Although I do own a fair number of lacy tops…is lacy a pattern?

I liked algebra more than geometry, but I think I liked it in the way someone might like a parking ticket more than a speeding ticket. To say I “liked” algebra or any other math anything would be a gross overstatement.

Hmm off the top of my head, I think I’d be hard pressed to find something strictly geometric too. I have stuff I could convince myself is geometric, but probably isn’t to many others. Of all the patterened stuff I have, I think stripes are the most prevalent.

Love the haircut — and that it brings out the curl in your hair even more! And that top totally fits the challenge! It’s funny, geometry was the ONLY subject in math that I actually liked — algebra and calculus, you can go stand in the corner. 😉

I managed to get out of ever having to take calculus 🙂 Caused some drama with my school guidance counselor but AP Calc and I never did have to meet.

My hairdresser also gave me some tips on getting my hair curlier. But, yes, being short it loves to be curly.

I have a geometric print I got years ago and really like. Those patterns call to me.

The new cut is so cute! I bet it feels so light!

Your hair looks so good! Wow! I love it!

And I’m so glad you found a top that would work for the link-up 🙂 This one is super cute and I’m loving the way you styled a busier print with the basic blacks.

Oooh, I love geometry! (it’s the only thing I’m half way decent at, I really struggled with algebra and everything after that was way over my head.) I think the top looks really smart with your heels, they reference each other nicely. And um, again, your hair! did you cut it? It looks insanely gorgeous, I’m going to have to do a quick browse to see what I missed this week!

I got it cut on Wednesday evening! So you didn’t miss anything. I was just going to get it trimmed but decided kind of last minute to get it chopped off 🙂
