I’m back! Did you miss my smiling face? What about if I bribe you with an awesome giveaway? Yes, I’m giving away a beautiful Gorjana bracelet over at Coming Unstitched. And, hey, you can earn entries for doing what you already do. You know, reading this here blog. Easy, right?

You know what’s not easy? Getting dressed in “real” clothes after spending a week in my swimsuit and not showering until 5 PM every day. Thankfully a gal I saw in Target along with a Pinterest find gave me the idea to pair my emerald green tank with my black and white skirt. Also not easy is getting a good photo when it’s raining outside. Hope you enjoy this slice of my day job office.

I feel like this outfit is a little bit “traditional” but, you know, there’s nothing wrong with that. Adding a colored top to a black and white skirt is sometimes a style revelation for people so even though it may seem simple it’s not always for everyone. And since my goal at Loop Looks is to help people think outside their uniform rut, maybe someone seeing this will have a light bulb moment and copy this look. And that’s perfectly fine by me.

I love the outfit! Yeah it’s traditional but the colored tank gives it flair for the professional office settings where you don’t have a ton of options. The skirt and shoes are lovely…and you better believe I entered that giveaway. That bracelet is gorgeous! Fingers crossed! 🙂 Welcome back to reality..can’t wait to hear how the vacay was!

Vacation was amazing. I sat on the porch almost every day and got a rocking tan (and, yes, I used sunscreen). Finished two books, went on one bike ride and two runs (even did some trail running) and started and finished that 3 foot long Las Vegas puzzle. Highly recommend staying on the shores of Lake Michigan!

I REALLY like that top. Really really like it. The fringey fluffy bits add a nice touch.

Also, the past two days I’ve worn a cardigan over my dresses to work (ugh. Dresses to work. Darn you, summer!) and have felt oh-so smart about my fashion decisions both times. I don’t know how I went this long in life without realizing that cardigans are 1) amazing and 2) not only wearable in winter.

Did you get that necklace like 10 years ago? Because I have the same exact one!

Black/white with a bright color is one of my favorite combos, and I really like this version of it.

Welcome back! I didn’t see this yesterday but today I would be your “opposite” twin…emerald green skirt and black silk top! Loving the color combo

Oooh, that sounds lovely! I have a pair of emerald green pants that I’ve worn with a black top and my white cardigan before. Not sure why I never thought to put the green top with the black and white bottom before now!

I love this look! The emerald top looks great with black and white. This definitely a look I’d wear to the office too!
