Let’s see. Today is Friday, my boss is out of the office,  I have no meetings, and we’re on the cusp of a three day weekend. This calls for an extra casual Casual Friday outfit! My default Friday outfit tends to be jeans and a blazer but I just wasn’t feeling the blazer today.  Thank goodness for this inspiration photo I had pinned with a striped shirt and a burgundy cardigan.

For those of you looking for casual outfit inspiration, this one’s for you! This outfit would be perfect for a weekend. Pair it with riding boots in the winter or wear a striped tank top instead of a long-sleeved shirt for warmer weather. Add heels or sandals to change up the look a bit, too. This is a great canvas to work with! Heck, you could even put it with shorts instead of jeans.

I, however, will be spending much of this weekend in workout clothes. Tonight I have trapeze. Tomorrow I will be running 10 miles, Sunday I’ll be biking 30 miles, and on Monday we’ll hopefully be planting flowers on our balcony.

What do you have planned for the weekend? What will you be wearing?

P.S. Linking up with AJ Wears Clothes so here’s a link to the last time I wore this cardigan.

You’re dressed almost as casual as I usually dress to work! A rare occasion!

My sister’s coming into town this weekend, which means I’m going to have to go shopping. Lord have mercy on my soul. Spending money AND Michigan Ave. on a holiday weekend. Woof. On the bright side, everyone and their next door neighbor seems to be having sales this weekend, and my sister is quite talented at bargain hunting, so maybe I’ll be able to make it out with at least my bank account intact (no promises on my sanity, however 😉 ).

Very rare, indeed. You should see one of my coworkers. He’s wearing his race shirt from the Chase Corporate Challenge last night. He’d fit right in at your place, right?

And, yes, SALES GALORE this weekend! I just spent way too much money buying stuff online from The Limited so I will NOT be shopping. But, this is a great weekend to find some awesome deals.

Sounds like a fun (and active) long weekend! Do they close your office down early on holiday weekends? Either way, your outfit looks super comfy for a day like today..I love days before a long weekend or holiday..the office is always quiet and people are in generally cheery moods!

If our bosses are in charitable moods then, yes, we occasionally get let go early before holiday weekends. But it’s not a company policy or anything.

I am so excited to hear what Kelsey thinks of trapeze! And how it is outside! And of course, about the rest of your weekend.

My weekend is lowkey! Studying! Bike ride on Sunday. Movie with Chris tomorrow. And lots of studying. Ha ha ha (enough to mention it twice).

I totally passed out on Sunday afternoon. My body said “enough!” But everything I did was fun (even watching Kelsey freak out during trapeze) so it was worth it.

Wow, you have a packed weekend! (The bike ride sounds like a lot of fun, is there good bike paths in Chicago?) Good luck with planting your flower as well, I bet your balcony will smell wonderful when you step out and have all of the flowers out there.

There is actually a great bike/running/walking path in Chicago that is right next to the lake and is almost 20 miles from start to finish. But this ride was special because they closed down the main road that goes from the north end of the city to the south end of the city so that it’s only bicycles for the morning!
