This week I’ve been feeling rather uninspired. Then I remembered I hadn’t worn these navy lace pants since November and knew I wanted to wear them this week! But then I couldn’t figure out what to wear with them. Purple cardigan? Okay. Lighter purple shirt? Okay. Oh! Purple bubble necklace! Got it!
Still, I think my husband had to take about 100 photos of this outfit to get two that I liked. Not sure if it was the outfit, my (lack of) posing skills, or the angle of where he was standing, but it just wasn’t happening for me.
So these are the two I liked the best. And even then I don’t love them. But, I do love the purple paired with the navy. Such a fun color combination! I’m also hoping to wear these pants a bit more this spring since I bought them right at the tail end of cropped pants season last year. What colors would you like to see with them?
omg I LOVE those crops! Adorable! My office sadly doesn’t allow crops despite the fact they look professional.
Your office is weird.
Great idea on the navy and purple color combo! Love the pants!
Thanks! Navy is a good neutral but it’s a pretty new addition to my wardrobe which means I still struggle with what to pair with it.
MAN do those pants look black. I wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t said otherwise! I’m also impressed that you wear lace pants in general. I can do lace on top, but on the bottom? Much more hesitant. But then again, I’m super hesitant to wear anything not-neutral and not-plain on the bottom, because I don’t have much pants confidence. Haha.
I think the fact that these are all the same color (and, yes, navy is difficult to photograph well) but just have texture makes them a good transition from wearing plain bottoms to printed bottoms.
I *obviously* need more light purple tones in my wardrobe, because it’s looking fabulous paired with red (from your last post) and navy. 😀
Guess we know what you’ll be looking for on your next gift card outing!
Those pants are so fun! And the cut is so slimming! Might you try them with cream or yellow? Meh?
Yellow would look great…if I owned anything yellow 🙂
Love this look. The navy and purple look great together!
Thanks!
Those pants are awesome! They’d look really great with yellow and red…maybe light pink, too? I also sometimes really love the look of navy and black, so that might be worth a shot, too 🙂
Oooh, light pink would be great! Thanks for the idea!
