Brightly colored outfit so your spectators can find you? Check. Cute running skirt so you get compliments from random strangers? Check? Visor to keep the sun off your face and the sweat out of your eyes?  Check.

Running 26.2 miles might not be easy, but I did it. 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 32 seconds. You can read the entire recap here.

I wore a pink skirt for my half this weekend too. I did think of you having to run twice the distance while I was out there! Way to go on your race!

Gotta rock those bright colors! I was trying to find my friend at Ravenswood yesterday and she was like, “Yeah, I’m wearing all black…” You can’t pick out people dressed like that! Haha. Congrats congrats congrats on your marathon! You’re seriously so inspirational!

It only backfires when everyone else also wears the same bright color. That’s what happened during the Friday night 5K! I wore my brightest pink shirt…and so did everyone else!

Whoa, four and a half hours? Way to go! And you look so fantastically adorable while doing it, that running skirt is so pretty and bright. (Heh, I’ve never tried one,are the running skirts comfy to run in? I’ve always worried about rubbing.) Congratulations on your fantastic time!

Thank you! And, yes, my thighs do rub together so I need to use Body Glide in certain areas. I actually forgot so I think I’ll have some…interesting…scars!

Congratulations again on your amazing race!!! You never cease to inspire me!!! And your running outfit is super cute!!! I’ve definitely learned that wearing running clothing that makes you feel good can make such a difference during those super tough miles when you don’t FEEL cute. What kind of skirt is that?

I saw your post in my reader feed two days ago and came back on a search for it today! First – CONGRATULATIONS on a job well done finishing the marathon! I totally believe in running in cute outfits. People always ask me why I post my race day outfits…because I love looking cute in my day clothes and my running clothes. That’s why! Great job!

Thank you for the lovely comment! I agree that we may get sweaty and nasty when we run (and let’s not even talk about what happens to my hair) so we’re totally allowed to wear cute clothes while doing it!

What did you think of the skirt?! Totally comfortable?! It does look cute! 🙂

I was going to ask, why did you stop adding the “first appeared here” link or comment or however you did it on the bottom of your posts? Just curious, since you are the expert on that SEO (is that what it is called?) stuff.
