After last week being so dreary, I decided I wanted to wear something fun and bright today. Bright pink, polka dots, and a touch of leopard? Sounds good to me!

Although, admittedly, I haven’t worn this skirt since November and I seem to remember it fitting better then. Does anyone else get a little apprehensive about putting on a piece of clothing you haven’t worn in a while?

Also, you may notice this week that I’m wearing flats instead of heels. That’s because at the end of this week I’ll be running the Illinois Marathon and I’m trying to save my feet, knees, and legs for the 26.2 miles I’ll be running on Saturday!

You look beautiful! I’m such a fan of pink and leopard print so naturally I’m a fan of this one! And here is a virtual HIGH FIVE to say good luck this Saturday!!! You will rock it girl!

PS- I get nervous about putting on summer clothes for the first time each season (and winter pants, etc. for the first time in winter). I can always gauge if I have been eating well/working out by how well they fit (or don’t fit!)

I love the bright pink skirt! Definitely necessary after all of the rainy, dreary weather. And I had that feeling this morning. I had no idea how some of my work clothes would fit since it’s been a few weeks and I’ve worn nothing but shorts and gym clothes lately, and frankly I couldn’t put an outfit together, so I just wore jeans. Thank goodness for a casual office!

I definitely get a little nervous trying to put clothes on that I haven’t worn in awhile, especially jeans for the first time after summer! I feel like jeans always take a little while to break in anyway, though.

Hooray marathon week! I’m sending lots of good vibes your way!

As always, your pattern-mixing is perfect 🙂 I love the color of this skirt… I’ve kind of been looking for one myself, though I have similar. I want a brighter pink than I have.

Best of luck at the marathon!!! I’m sure you’ll do great!

Thanks! I bought this skirt on a whim last year but it got worn a lot. Hopefully I can figure out why it feels so different this time and get it back into the rotation soon!

LOL, yes! I always feel that way trying on something I haven’t worn in awhile. Even if I don’t need to be! So dumb.

I have a question about your belt. Some of my skinny belts are super long too. Do they make them that way so you can wrap it? I think people would assume it’s so it fits lots of sizes, but the belts are sized (S/M/L/XL/etc.). So why are they so long? It’s annoying! But I guess if it was too short you wouldn’t be able to tuck it in?

And yes. That is the most perplexing thing I have thought about today 🙂

This is kind of a new feeling for me so I’m a little weirded out! Fingers crossed it’s just a fluke….

I think skinny belts are long so that you can wear them either on your waist or on your hips. Like, if you wear them with jeans or pants in the belt loops they probably need to be longer but at your waist they are smaller. When I wear this one with pants and use the belt loops I use the largest or second largest hole!

I think your worries were unfounded – that pink skirt is adorable. I love it!

On a a completely unrelated topic, I need to pick your brain about shin splints…

Best of luck at your marathon this weekend. I’ll be thinking of you while I run my half marathon!

Okay, you already know that I so lust over these flats so I wont gush on and on about them but they are seriously just the prettiest/sassiest flats ever. I really like the leopard belt with the polka dots, I wouldn’t have thought to pair them together but they really play off of each other. And woot, congratulations (early) on running the marathon!

I definitely put off wearing some stuff if I think it might not fit – and half the time it’s fine and I’ve been missing out!

Good on you running your marathon this weekend!! Best of luck!!
