Back in January I said my goal was to wear the items I purchased or received that month and not spend money on myself. Well, I definitely wore those items but I did end up spending some money on myself in February.
The Old Navy Military jacket was a total impulse purchase. Not sure I’m going to keep it yet, to be honest.
I love my original pair of Express Stella jeans so I’d been stalking Poshmark looking for a pair below retail. When I found this pair and was able to bundle them with a pair of pearl earrings (another hole in my jewelry collection) I was sold. Plus, I had all that credit from sales and from people signing up with my code that they were a steal! Retail, those two items together would be over $100!
The sweater was also an impulse purchase. But $10 AND I had store credit? Sure. Who couldn’t use a navy sweater? Now, if only I could find a black crewneck sweater.
Finally, my ball gown. I didn’t HAVE to buy this. But, really, would you have passed this up? Plus the fact that I hadn’t bought much else in February means I was able to afford it easily.
So, for March I’m going to continue my goal of shopping my closet, selling items I no longer need, and saving my moolah.

Right now I’m pretty happy with my closet. But even so there are days when I stand there and stare at all the hangers and think, “I wish I had….”
I’ve had all of these clothing pieces in my closet for a long time. I keep wavering on whether or not to keep the cardigan and then it keeps staying.
Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.
The fact that I paired two pieces that could be considered slightly casual but added heels and a blazer makes my outfit work appropriate without being traditional.

Really like the Military jacket, have wanted one for a few years now!
I’ve been lusting after them too, but I’m not sure this one fits the way I want it to. Still deciding on whether or not to return it.
I am still awaiting the day Poshmark becomes available on droids…
You don’t need an iPhone anymore. I believe you can shop and sell straight from their website now as long as you have a Facebook account.
Wow you got a lot of great things for great deals! I have been eyeing the Old Navy jacket but just not sure I’d wear it enough since I feel like it’s too casual for work..hmm! Perhaps a post on how to dress up a military jacket is in order

Not sure if my first post went through..weird!
Anyways, I have been eyeing that Old Navy military jacket but just don’t know if I’d be able to wear it enough to be worth it..almost feel like it’s too casual for the office. I think a post on how to style military jackets is in order

Is that sparkly skirt the one you have but in silver?
I would love to see a post where you show us some of the military jacket styles! That seems up my alley
Nope. My skirt is actually blush pink and it’s from The Limited. But maybe I should try pairing the navy sweater with it!
I did a post back in October on ways to wear military jackets and showed three different styles. Of course, those three aren’t available any more but I’m sure there are similar ones out there!
It looks like you did really good this month, I’ve heard that the express jeans fit really nicely. Pearl earrings really are just a classic, I love that you’re a just a little bit more unusual than the typical pearl studs, they’re really pretty on the little hoop.
My favorite part about Express jeans is that they are tight enough on me where I want them to be tight but not super tight on my ankles. So, skinny jeans that aren’t super skinny which is what I like.
I agree with Kim! Military jacket styling blog post! (I have been eyeing that jacket at Old Navy as well but can’t think of ways to wear it at the office…)

I suppose I could do a post with all the photos that have inspired me to want a military jacket! I ended up returning this one, though. It fit me kind of funny.
