My version of Starry Night | Birthday Dinner Part 1 | Behind the scenes at Founders Winery | My new wine glass | Tasting at Lemon Creek Winery | Vintage wine
You might notice a theme in this week’s Saturday Shots. I took all of these the week of my birthday. I think I gained 2 pounds just from wine alone. We drank wine and painted, we drank wine at dinner, we toured Michigan wineries, and I received the world’s largest wine glass as a gift.
Needless to say, I took it down a notch the past few days. However, my book club with a wine problem is this afternoon. But I think I’ll leave the giant wine glass at home…

I’ve had all of these clothing pieces in my closet for a long time. I keep wavering on whether or not to keep the cardigan and then it keeps staying.
Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.
The fact that I paired two pieces that could be considered slightly casual but added heels and a blazer makes my outfit work appropriate without being traditional.
Ever since I bought this tie-neck top I have been wanting to pair it with these pants.

Did you and your mom take back any wine from the visit?
I actually brought back a “novelty” wine. It’s flavored with apples so it tastes really, really sweet. I thought Jason would like it
I “won” an apple based wine during my family’s gift swap! Remember that blueberry one from Guttenberg (Wait, was it blueberries?!
)?
Looks like a fantastic week of celebration!!! Aren’t the Michigan wineries amazing? Love how close to home they are, too. Just 90 minutes away and you are in a different world. We still need to find another time to celebrate your birthday, by the way!!!
We’ve driven past the wineries so many times but never stopped. Now we know which ones to go back to during our vacation this summer.
great shots! sounds like you had a perfect birthday

It was a pretty good birthday
On man, I wish we had some wineries up here! (We have a local brewery but it’s not quite the same.) This looks like it was so much fun and yeah, that’s one big wine glass!
I’m guessing grapes don’t grow so well in your shortened growing season
