The university where I work puts on a huge Christmas choir concert every December.  The office that I report to is in charge of the planning for this event and, as such, I get recruited to help out with ushering and other duties as assigned.

Usually it’s freezing cold, snowy and icy when we have this event.  And since the vestibule of the church where the concert is held gets really cold we tend to bundle up.  Hence the fur vest and the sweater dress.

This year, though, it’s not as cold as in the past so I have a feeling that I’ll get pretty warm throughout the evening.  Which is why I can always strip off the vest, re-tie my belt, and ta da!  Another outfit!

I have to credit to Katie and Pinterest for giving me the idea to wear a belt over my faux fur vest.   I like how it gives it some extra shape and keeps it from looking quite so bulky.

Nice! That is a good tip, to tie the obi belt over the vest.

Oh, this is such a classic and luxurious look, I love the red dress with the brown fur vest. (And that belt! That is the coolest idea, the wear an obi belt over a vest, it is so stylish and soft different!) I really love this outfit, the colors are just so rich and the red dress just plays up the vest. (I can’t believe it, I really haven’t thought about wearing a fur vest over a dress, usually I just go with jeans but I am going to have to try a variation of this look. It is gorgeous!)

I ended up leaving the vest on all night and got several compliments. So, definitely try this look!

You look like an Alaskan princess! Fabulous!!! I love that belt, too. I’ve been looking for a nice wide belt that doesn’t have the typical clasp and loop, and they are hard to find!

The Limited is a great place to find unique belts. Most of mine are from there and they always get compliments.

If “fun” means freezing while standing in a doorway taking tickets, sure :-) But thankfully there was no drama this year. But it still wasn’t that warm in the church!
