An Outfit for Every Holiday Party
5 Dec
It’s that time of year again. That time when you have a party to attend what seems like every night of the week. I, for one, have three parties in the next two weeks (and a fourth if you count the one I skipped last night).
These parties range from the annual holiday party and awards banquet for my running club to a pizza luncheon with my coworkers. And a New England themed holiday party with friends in the middle. The one I skipped? A dinner for the professional organization to which I belong.
So, I thought I’d show you some ideas of outfits I’d wear to the various shindigs.
Dress | Blazer | Shoes | Necklace
Blazer | Top | Jeans | Shoes | Earrings
Jacket | Shirt | Pants | Shoes |Earrings | Bracelet 1 | Bracelet 2
Do you have any parties to attend this holiday season? What are you wearing?

Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.
The fact that I paired two pieces that could be considered slightly casual but added heels and a blazer makes my outfit work appropriate without being traditional.
Ever since I bought this tie-neck top I have been wanting to pair it with these pants.
Today I’m going to share with you one of my favorite ways to this lace dress that I’ve come up with yet.

I’ve been DYING to find a cute white or black blazer like the both of the ones in the 1st and 2nd set of pics but everything is too short for my weirdly long torso. Have you seen any long casual blazers anywhere??
Sometimes Forever 21 actually has long blazers. I think the key for you is to look for “boyfriend” blazers since those tend to be longer than ones that go with suits.
i love the party with friends look! i want some of those cap toe heels so bad!
Aren’t they adorable??
Cute styles. Each time/event certainly calls for a different outfit, which is good — because you want to be able to explore different ways of creating style.
Exactly!
Nice post! My personal fave is the “party with friends” look. I am partial to the luxe-and-casual mix.
Will we see any sequins on your blog this season?
Every Holiday party that we’re going to is really low key so there’s not going to be very much dressing up for me.
I do love your Awards Banquet outfit, the red dress with the blazer is so perfect!
I always take advantage of parties to wear things I can’t wear to work. So even if it’s a low-key party you’ll find me wearing something gilttery!
I’m attending a holiday party tonight, have Adam’s company’s holiday party, and then two holiday parties through my work. It’s crazy! I tend to wear a lot of red and black to these holiday parties but I think it gets old after awhile. So I love the pictures you have for the work luncheon and party with friends!
Red and black is such a classic combination, though, it’s hard to break away from it.
Ooo, what is a New England Themed Holiday Party? That sounds interesting!
I have earrings just like the ones in the middle pic and I wear them all the time. I think I got them with you when we went shopping at Water Tower Place for dresses for me to wear to my brother’s wedding?
No holiday parties for me, other than the blogger one this Saturday
It was actually a Boston Marathon themed party. They hung signs in the all the rooms saying what part of the Boston Marathon course you were on. The stairs were Heartbreak Hill.
Love the party with friends look! Happy Holidays – Tiara
