The original plan was to wear my camel colored blazer with this outfit.  But, really, I would have been too warm and the rolled sleeves on the top just weren’t working with it.  So, I have grand plans to recreate this outfit with my polka dot chambray top at another time and wear the blazer with that.

In the mean time, since it’s still strangely warm in Chicago I was able to get away with just wearing my fur vest!  Crazy.  Also, I wanted to point out that this is yet another outfit that I would have never thought to create with my plaid pants.  Chambray and plaid?  It seems so obvious now.  Breaking out of your “these pants go with this top” routine can lead to some really fun outfits.

I quite like this look, but with the fur vest?! LOVE!

I want to buy all the fur vests I see. They just really take an outfit to the next level, don’t they?

My gray shoes arrived yesterday and they are amazingly comfortable! I’m not certain I can wear them on my commute though.

Hooray! Admittedly, I tend to wear ballet flats or boat shoes on my commute (or Uggs or other winter boots when it’s cold) and leave my shoes under my desk at work.

Chambray is one of those things that just works with everything, it’s so versatile. (Of course, I think plaid always goes with everything, so I might be off there.) This belt is fabulous, I love the equestrian/harness feel to it, I never realized that The Limited had cute belts like this!

The Limited has a nice range of stuff from suits for work to casual jeans and sweaters. And accessories to go with each! Most of my closet is from there.

Fabulous belt!!! And the faux fur vest really changes the look up entirely. Very versatile!

So far I’ve discovered that this vest is much more useful than I originally thought!

I like that the plaid print on the tan pants gives them some variety. Much more interesting than regular tan pants! :)

It’s all about pattern and texture to make an outfit more fun!
