Thanksgiving is here and I hope you’re all ready to enjoy your day off, your friends and family, eating too much food, football, putting up holiday decorations, a regular Thursday, or whatever else you’re hoping this day brings. In addition, since the holiday is about being thankful for what we have, I thought I’d give you a short rundown of what I’m thankful for, including my new faux fur vest which I think is the perfect Thanksgiving outfit accessory.
I’m thankful that I have a job and a lifestyle that lets me blog about things as silly as style and running marathons. I’ve met so many amazing friends via blogging that have made my past several years in Chicago so wonderful that I don’t know if I ever want to leave.
I’m thankful that my parents live a life that allows me to see them on a regular basis.
I’m thankful that my job allows my husband to go to school for something that interests him.
I’m thankful we have an amazing apartment, too much food to eat, and a car to drive.
If my biggest complaint is that I want a puppy and can’t have one right now, well, I think I’ve got a pretty good life.
And this faux fur vest will just have to take the place of a puppy for awhile. But why does a faux fur vest make the perfect Thanksgiving outfit accessory? Well, it’s a bit bulky so you can eat as much as you want and the vest will cover up that food baby. And it’s soft and comfy so when you pass out from ingesting a week’s worth of calories in one meal you can use it as a pillow. See? Two great uses in one! Plus, faux fur vests are totally in right now. Stylish and practical? The best of both worlds.
Do you need something to be thankful for? Would you be thankful if you won a $50 Visa gift card? Then don’t forget to help Loop Looks reach 200 pageviews per day! We just need one more day over 200 and then the giveaway is ON! Also, you need to leave at least two comments in order to be entered. I’m extending the contest until Sunday evening and will announce the winner Monday morning!

I’ve had all of these clothing pieces in my closet for a long time. I keep wavering on whether or not to keep the cardigan and then it keeps staying.
Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.
The fact that I paired two pieces that could be considered slightly casual but added heels and a blazer makes my outfit work appropriate without being traditional.
Ever since I bought this tie-neck top I have been wanting to pair it with these pants.

I adore wearing faux fur vest, very chic and edgy. We have so much to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Thank you! I hope you enjoyed your holiday.
Get the puppy!!!! Just kidding
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
If our landlord allowed pets I’m pretty sure one of us would break down and adopt a puppy before Jason graduates!
Oh oh OHHHHHHH!!! You’ve got your riding boots on in this picture and as you have probably guessed my riding boots are my latest fashion obsession!!! =D
Love this post on thankfulness as it reminded me of how lucky I am to have met so many great friends through blogging, very much including you. And it also reminded me of how lucky I am to be able to blog about running and share in your fashion posts, too! I hope you had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!!!!!
My riding boots are a casual outfit staple! Love them.
Hope your Thanksgiving was great and the drive back wasn’t too long
I’m glad that you had such a lovely Thanksgiving, it sounds perfect and relaxing! And a faux fur vest is a perfect accessory anytime! (Well, maybe not to the beach.) I am in love with how you’ve styled yours, it looks so pretty and feminine with the sparkly blouse and the jeans and boots are just perfect. I’m going to have to try something like this, it’s so pretty looking!
I saw the sparkly polka dot top on another blogger and fell in love. I just HAD to hunt it down at Forever 21.
