My Little Online Shopping Secret

Today I’m going to let you in on a secret.
Ever wonder how I’m able to find items for those collage posts I do? Or, have you ever asked me for help locating a specific type of item online and wondered how I found my results?
Well, here’s my secret weapon.
What is Shopstyle? Basically it’s a online retailer aggregator that lets you search for clothing, shoes and accessories by brand, price, color, and size among other criteria.
For example, I’m currently still on the hunt for a navy blazer. So, I typed “navy blazer” into Shopstyle. Here’s a taste of what I got:
As you can see, on the left I could refine my search by choosing a price range, a brand, or several other options. You can then click on each picture to be taken directly to the retailer’s website to view more images or purchase the item.
Shopstyle also has several other functions including the ability to create collages of items found on Shopstyle. You can also browse the collages that others have created if you need fashion inspiration.
Mostly, though, I prefer to use Polyvore to create my collages and Shopstyle to search for items online. Shopstyle may not include every single online retailer out there, but most of the ones I frequent are there.

Right now I’m pretty happy with my closet. But even so there are days when I stand there and stare at all the hangers and think, “I wish I had….”
I’ve had all of these clothing pieces in my closet for a long time. I keep wavering on whether or not to keep the cardigan and then it keeps staying. 
Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.
The fact that I paired two pieces that could be considered slightly casual but added heels and a blazer makes my outfit work appropriate without being traditional.

SO GLAD you told me about this website. I still haven’t found brown shoes since I’m tragically picky, but I’ve spent an absurd amount of time on Shopstyle looking for brown shoes that will fit my impossible list of demands.

I definitely prefer Polyvore for creating the collages but love Shopstyle for finding the items to put in them!
Ah ha, that’s how you do it! (I tried to be all smart and do a similar thing and it was a pretty epic fail. I’ll just leave it to you brilliant people.) This seems like such a great idea, I like that you can get so specific for what you’re looking for, right down to the price!

I have “larger than average” calves (calfs?) so I can be limited by boots that have zippers (most boots) which can be quite frustrating!
My calves are pretty large, too. Target has some slip-on ones right now that actually had room left over for my calves which rarely happens. I know the website says they’re not available in stores but I totally tried them on in the store this week: http://bit.ly/TOXaJW

Sersiously though< I should have used this when making my wishlist for my grandma. I had red blazer and solid color pencil skirt on there and didn't see much of what I wanted online (though I did give her a few examples).

What color and size of riding boots? And do you have any material restrictions (prefer non-leather or leather or something else)?
