In honor of submitting two looks with this black turtleneck to Jessica’s What I Wore Challenge: Fall Remix I thought I’d show you a third look here today.

But first, go check out my entry on Jessica’s post.  I’ll wait.  My entry is second from the bottom.  One look you’ve seen before.  The other is brand new and includes my faux leather skirt that has yet to be featured here!

Done?  Now you see why I think a black turtleneck is a fall closet staple?  It just goes with so many things.

For years I refused to wear turtlenecks because I felt like they were choking me.  Maybe you feel the same.  A black crewneck sweater can have the same role in your closet as a black turtleneck.  Not a fan of black?  Choose another neutral color like navy, camel or gray.  With a scarf, a blazer or a statement necklace you can dress it up or down for any occasion.

But don’t forget your jacket!

I used to feel that way about turtlenecks when I was growing up (and I could never wear sweaters either). So odd. I really like turtlenecks now, especially with a scarf, like you said.

They’re perfect for fall and winter and can easily become the backdrop to another piece. So glad we figured out they aren’t evil!

I never liked turtlenecks as a little kid, but once I got to be a little older (like middle school or so) I really appreciated the coziness that comes with them. I actually have a black half sleeve turtleneck right now that is part of my go-to outfit whenever I actually need to dress business casual. I feel like it’s such an easy thing to wear when I need to look classy.

It is easy to make a black turtleneck look classy! Must be why Audrey Hepburn wore one :-)

Super cool and chill! And now I’m asking myself why I haven’t worn a turtleneck yet this season?! ;)

Hah, I was looking through the submissions on WIWT earlier today and said, “Hey, I know that stylish lady!” You wear turtlenecks so stylishly, I really like it with the blazer and the tall boots. I love the bracelet you got at the trade show, I love the longer, wrap around style like that and it’s so pretty in the soft gray color.

I’ve tried turtlenecks before, but they always make me look “chesty” and my chest is one of the parts I prefer to downplay. :P

I’m totally in love with leather wrap bracelets this year. Bangles don’t work for typing on a computer but the leather wraps are perfect.
