Blazer – Forever 21 | Sweater – Old Navy | Pants – Gap | Booties – Liz Claiborne via DSW

It’s Monday and you know what that means!  Another Inspiration Monday from Two Birds Boutique!

The outfit they chose for today’s inspiration is absolutely adorable.  I wish I could have worn an exact copy of it to work.

Rachel Bilson

Sadly, jeans on Mondays are frowned upon so I had to wear something else.  Also, I don’t have an navy blazer.  Yet.

So, I took my cues from the individual pieces of the outfit. A gray sweater with a design on it.  A blazer in the blue family.  And, yes, I have on ankle boots although because they blend into my pants it’s difficult to tell.

However, I love Rachel’s look so much that it’s definitely going to stay on my Outfit Inspiration board for a future casual outfit look this fall and winter.

Would you wear Rachel’s outfit?  How would you interpret it?

Thanks! Inspiration Mondays are so helpful at looking at pieces you already own in a new light.

Hello Erin! Love your outfit! Your blazer is so vivid!!! Love the contrast against the spotty mink top! (My trousers in this inspiration outfit are the similar colour to your blazer! Nice to meet you!

This is really great! I think you did an amazing replication of this, really great! Mine was just cop out cuz I was too busy (and I couldn’t find my blazers).

I suppose I shouldn’t tell people how long I stood in front of my closet coming up with this look then, huh?

It boggles my mind that jeans are inappropriate for a Monday-there is no better day for jeans then Monday!

Sigh. I wish I could wear jeans to work on Mondays. Only if all the bosses are gone and I don’t have any meetings!

Ah, Rachel Bison always wears the cutest stuff.

I think you did a really fun spin off of the inspiration outfit, I love this Old Navy sweater you have on! (Ooooh and I’ve been so good at staying away from them lately but now you’ve got me all tempted to go check them out.) And wow, this combination of the park pants and the dark booties is amazing, it makes your legs look miles long!

I tend to wear the booties only with dark pants or tights for this very reason! As for the sweater, I think it’s sold out in stores but they probably have something similar. I know how much you love polka dots :) Do you have an Old Navy in your town?

We do have a Old Navy, aside from Sears and a few little chain mall stores, it’s our only clothing store so they have zilch for competition. I keep hoping they’ll realize this and bring up a Gap store.

And yeah, I might have a slight obsession with polka dots. :)

I really like that look! I should try polka dots with my bright blue blazer. Or maybe it’s too bright for the cold season, lol.

If it’s wrong to wear a bright blue blazer in the winter then I don’t want to be right.
