Oldie But Goodie

Blazer – Macy’s (old) | Blouse – Old Navy | Jeans – The Limited (similar) | Shoes – Bandolino via Macy’s | Watch – Fossil | Bracelet – Gift (Joe Fresh) | Earrings – Stitch Fix
Jeans plus a blazer may become my new Friday uniform. It’s just really hard to go wrong with this combination. The jeans keep it Friday casual but the blazer keeps it looking professional. I recommend every one have at least one blazer in their closet.
This particular blazer I bought YEARS ago. In fact, I even have a picture of me from 2007 wearing it.
Not that you can really tell since that’s a scan of a newspaper article about my previous job from 5 years ago. But, I promise you, it’s the same blazer.
I didn’t spend very much money for it. And sometimes I’m concerned that it looks kind of cheap. But it fits so well and it’s so comfy that I’m hesitant to try and replace it. I suppose, though, now that I know how much wear I can get out of a tan or camel blazer that I could start the search for a more upscale version.
What’s the oldest piece of clothing you still wear on a regular basis?

Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.
The fact that I paired two pieces that could be considered slightly casual but added heels and a blazer makes my outfit work appropriate without being traditional.
Ever since I bought this tie-neck top I have been wanting to pair it with these pants.
Today I’m going to share with you one of my favorite ways to this lace dress that I’ve come up with yet.

My sweats…..I am horrible I would love in my sweat pants if I could. I am definitely not one of those women that has a sense of style and I am more of a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl with a pair of sneakers. I did enjoy your post though and you are right the blazer and the jeans is a wonderful combination. Maybe one day I will grow up and buy real clothes.
Thanks for stopping by! A t-shirt, jeans and sneakers can be “real” clothes! Especially if you don’t have to work in an office like I do. Of course, if you throw a blazer over that t-shirt you’d look even more fabulous than you already do
Hahaha so very true lucky for me I work in the athletics department at a college so I get to dress casually! Maybe one day I will try that blazer
One of my winter coats is 10 years old. For years, I only wore it on dressy occasions. At some point, it transitioned to daily outerwear. It’s the same color as your blazer, and it was a gift from my mom. I just can’t part with it.
I bet it’s a classic, though! No reason to give that up.
Hi Erin, it’s great to find another style blogger on UBC
I think the blazer looks great, it doesn’t look old at all! I also have an old tan winter coat that I still wear.
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be keeping an eye out for your posts via UBC.
The blazer still looks good to me! I have a black blazer from The Limited that I bought a decade ago on a shopping spree for my first professional job. You probably know the one!
And I agree, a nice jacket and dark jeans are a fantastic Friday uniform!
The benefits of polyester, right? Stays good forever
It doesn’t look cheap in the pictures!
Do the bracelets fit okay?
Hmm, oldest piece of clothing… I have a dress from high school that I sometimes wear
The bracelets fit great! I’ve already worn them in several casual outfits as well. Got some compliments on them on Friday night, too
