Pants, Top & Cardigan – The Limited | Shoes – Anne Klein via Bergner’s | Earrings – gift
I don’t really have much to say about this outfit. I’ve been at a conference for the past three days and my brain is fried. Also, while taking this photo the wind blew my camera off the table I had it propped on and now it’s acting funny.
Sigh. Some days just aren’t your day, you know?

Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.
The fact that I paired two pieces that could be considered slightly casual but added heels and a blazer makes my outfit work appropriate without being traditional.
Ever since I bought this tie-neck top I have been wanting to pair it with these pants.
Today I’m going to share with you one of my favorite ways to this lace dress that I’ve come up with yet.

That’s exactly what happened to my camera only replace wind with cat. My camera won’t turn on. Well, it will but then after a minute or two, it’ll turn off and it won’t focus on anything far away now. Boo.
Also, do you take questions from your commenters? Like if we gave you a picture of an item that we had in our closet but wasn’t sure what to pair it with, could you find items online that would look good? Example: I have a dress to wear for a fall outdoor engagement shoot but not sure would look good with it (tights vs. no tights or shoes vs. boots).
Yep, sounds like our camera’s have the same issue. That’s exactly what mine is doing. So, I ordered a new one. Thankfully it wasn’t super top of the line so I’m not out too much money. Still, pain in the butt!
And, YES! I definitely take questions from readers/commenters! Send your picture my way.
lovely!

Ugh! Stupid wind! That has happened to me with my camera (it fell off a garbage can when I was taking a group shot of some runners and landed on the cement) and iPhone. Do you have one of those bendable tripods you can attach it to something with?
We ended up ordering a duplicate camera (and a tripod) since mine is pretty much toast. I do have one of those tiny flexible tripods but it doesn’t work very well.
Oh, I dropped my point and shoot camera so many times on the pavement, it wasn’t even funny. But darn if it would keep trucking along, loosing the power cable was the only time that managed to kill it finally. I hope yours keeps going until you get your new one! (And I hope your conference went well.)
I really like this top, it has a very organic, ocean-y feel to it and it looks like it’s one of those awesome tops that can double time as both a work top and a fun weekend top.
Sadly, the camera was a lost cause but we were able to order a new one for not too much money and it will hopefully be here today or tomorrow. And I ordered a tripod so here’s hoping that helps out a bit!
I have a love-hate relationship with this top. It’s not my favorite but every so often I want something a little frilly.
Sorry to hear about your camera. I can totally sympathize with conference-brain. I find that after a certain point I just can’t possibly absorb any new info. So draining! I always feel bad for the speakers/presenters in the afternoon. If people aren’t napping (something I have been guilty of!), they are counting the minutes until they can leave (in a polite way, of course).
And then after draining your brain for several days you have to come back to work and get caught up! My schedule is so off right now, it’s crazy.
