Blazer – The Limited | Dress – Classiques Entier via Nordstrom Rack | Belt – The Limited | Shoes – Bandolino via Macy’s | Earrings – JF&A Show
The roof of my building (where I take my pictures) was cold and windy this morning! Just a taste of what I have to look forward to this fall and winter, I suspect.
I originally thought about wearing my heeled , knee-high boots today but a part of me isn’t quite ready to admit it’s time for boots. Boots, though, would give this sheath dress and blazer a slightly different look than with heels.
Speaking of which, this is the third way I’ve worn this dress this year. Here are the other two:
So I think I’ll be trying it with boots later this fall. Because there’s a thrill in being able to wear one piece lots of different ways.

Nothing is classier to me than tweed and a pencil skirt.
A reader recently contacted me and asked for help with a pair of ankle boots she just bought.
Right now I’m pretty happy with my closet. But even so there are days when I stand there and stare at all the hangers and think, “I wish I had….”
I’ve had all of these clothing pieces in my closet for a long time. I keep wavering on whether or not to keep the cardigan and then it keeps staying.
Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.

Ha ha! Too funny that I am reading this today because I almost wore boots yesterday but was like “too soon?!” LOL
It’s hard to transition from summer to fall!
Hah, I know what you mean, I tried to hold off wearing the boots for as long as possible, I really didn’t want to admit that summer was over.
These heels look fantastic with your dress, they really fit with the sleek vibe of the dress and the blazer. (I love those silver feather earrings, they add a little fun to the whole look.)
Brrr! It does look cold up on that roof!
The boots will be coming out today, I’m pretty sure. Welcome to fall!
