You know what’s funny about this skirt? When I bought it I honestly didn’t really think about what I would wear with it. But already I’ve found that lots of things in my closet match it perfectly! Like this cardigan. I did not buy them at the same time but I realized this morning that they go together as if they were purchased as a set.
I tossed on the leopard print belt to break up the sea of purple and immediately got compliments on it when I was in the elevator on my way to my office. An unexpected pattern or color in an accessory can really catch people’s eye! In a good way, of course.
Also, I’m getting my hair cut tonight for the first time in…um…a long time. I have no idea what to do with it. Suggestions are welcome!

Nothing is classier to me than tweed and a pencil skirt.
A reader recently contacted me and asked for help with a pair of ankle boots she just bought.
Right now I’m pretty happy with my closet. But even so there are days when I stand there and stare at all the hangers and think, “I wish I had….”
I’ve had all of these clothing pieces in my closet for a long time. I keep wavering on whether or not to keep the cardigan and then it keeps staying. 
I haven’t decided how I feel about pleated skirts yet. Sometimes I like them, sometimes I don’t.
I love that belt and that neckplace. I plan on leaving with them in hand next time I come over to your place.
You may have noticed that both photos were taken from the side. I’m still not sure how I feel about this skirt from a forward facing perspective. But, I get compliments on it which just goes to show we’re our own worst critics.
I love that skirt, though I’m not sure it would look good on me because my hips are a little wider. But I love the color and the blocking at the bottom. And LOVE the leopard print belt with it!
Yeah, I carry most of my weight in my hips, too, so I do feel a bit self conscious in this skirt. But it’s so cute that I forgive it!
Yay for compliments on a new outfit! Have we seen this skirt yet? I think not…?

Gorgeous color! I think it’s a very classic look. I especially love the animal-print belt, it gives the outfit a really nice pop.
Can’t wait to see what your new haircut looks like! Do post pictures tomorrow!!! (I’m heading in this Saturday to get my haircut as well, and am planning on losing at least three inches!)
