First Day Back

The first day back from vacation is always a little rough, isn’t it? So, to ease my transition back to the working world, how about a little tour of what I actually wore during my southwest Michigan vacation.
You may remember I packed quite a few options and that I have a lot of fun things in my closet to choose from. So, what did I end up wearing out of all of that?

In all honesty, I could have gotten away with way fewer clothes. There were many days when I didn’t change out of my swimsuit until just before dinner!
All in all, I had a fabulous vacation. A house on the beach, great weather, wonderful food, and a good book (or two). What more could you ask for?

A reader recently contacted me and asked for help with a pair of ankle boots she just bought.
Right now I’m pretty happy with my closet. But even so there are days when I stand there and stare at all the hangers and think, “I wish I had….”
I’ve had all of these clothing pieces in my closet for a long time. I keep wavering on whether or not to keep the cardigan and then it keeps staying. 
Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.
The fact that I paired two pieces that could be considered slightly casual but added heels and a blazer makes my outfit work appropriate without being traditional.
Stylish and comfortable!

love all of your vacation outfits! I am pretty good about not overpacking, but I still end up with an extra outfit or so…typically because I shop while on vacation and get so excited about my new stuff that I want to wear it immediately. lol. Hope your vacay was fab!
