Dressing for the Job You Want
22 Jun

I’m being featured over at Simply Sarah today! Today’s theme is dressing for the job you want, not the job you have!
When I started my current job 4 years ago I knew it was going to be a change in many ways from my previous job. The first thing I did was go out and drop a bunch of money at The Limited buying pieces (and suits!) that would have been a bit too dressy for my old job.
Over time I’ve evolved my style as I’ve learned there are more ways to look professional than just throwing on a suit. In fact, last year when I picked up a chambray shirt at Target I had no idea I’d be wearing it to work and making it look professional.
But I do. And I’ve done it more than once! Head on over to Simply Sarah to read her take on dressing for work and how I incorporate my style into my philosophy about how what you wear can affect your attitude at your job! And see how I styled my chambray shirt in two different ways that are still office appropriate!
