Blazer – Forever 21 | Pants – Express | Shirt – Old Navy | Necklace – Gordman’s | Earrings – Gift | Shoes – Nine West
I planned to wear the blazer today. I put it on and then sweated my way through my commute. It came off the moment I got into my office and has stayed off since.
So here’s what I actually look like.
Still pretty cute. Believe it or not, I picked this shirt up on a whim in Old Navy in NYC in March and I’ve already worn it quite a few times. Even though my husband refers to me as the Hamburglar when I wear it. What does he know?

I’ve had all of these clothing pieces in my closet for a long time. I keep wavering on whether or not to keep the cardigan and then it keeps staying.
Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.
The fact that I paired two pieces that could be considered slightly casual but added heels and a blazer makes my outfit work appropriate without being traditional.
Ever since I bought this tie-neck top I have been wanting to pair it with these pants.

I like the stripes with the green!
It does seem like it’s getting too warm for blazers and sweaters. I was too hot today in my sweater!
Hey, it’s Chicago. You never know what the weather is going to do. Best to be prepared with a little bit of everything, right?
