Copycat: Polka Dots and Purple
24 May
Top – Gap | Skirt – The Limited | Belt – Target | Shoes – Anne Klein via Marshall’s
Frills for Thrills does this fun series on the last Friday of every month where she encourages you to copy an outfit that you admire. I know it’s not Friday but I wanted to wear this outfit today so I’m copying a day early.
And what am I copying? J from J’s Everyday Fashion!
My skirt is actually a bit brighter in person but this purple color is so hard to photograph! Regardless, polka dots, purple and leopard. Who would have thought? Well, J, apparently!

For those of you looking for casual outfit inspiration, this one’s for you!
Nothing is classier to me than tweed and a pencil skirt.
A reader recently contacted me and asked for help with a pair of ankle boots she just bought.
Right now I’m pretty happy with my closet. But even so there are days when I stand there and stare at all the hangers and think, “I wish I had….”
I’ve had all of these clothing pieces in my closet for a long time. I keep wavering on whether or not to keep the cardigan and then it keeps staying.

Ok, I officially have to get a leopard belt. I am seeing them everywhere! Love the outfit!
Thanks! If you can’t find the belt at Target, I linked to a similar one in my April Shopping Summary post: http://looplooks.wordpress.com/2012/05/21/april-shopping-summary/
This looks so cute and professional
I love the shirt! I think you look better than your inspiration! The black shoes make it look more chic

Awww, thanks!
I love that skirt! This is a great look.
Thanks, Faith.
Thanks again for the style challenge inspiration!
You’re welcome! They’re so fun to do, aren’t they?
What a fun combo! I need to try that! What other colors do you think would go with that top?
I’ve worn the top with both my green pants and my red pants. And of course a white skirt. I have a few other ideas on my Pinterest board. But, basically, anything you could pair with navy would go with it!
What a creative mix of pattern and colors! Love it!
Thanks!
