Can we just talk about the weather for a second? It’s been in the 70s and 80s in Chicago and I have no idea what to wear! It’s March, for Pete’s sake! My summer clothes feel too exposed and my winter wear feels too stuffy.
So, I’m wearing what I consider to be one of my “winter” dresses. It’s wool. It’s lined. But it’s short and it’s sleeveless. I can throw a black cardigan on over the top if I need to. Or I can bare my arms. I’ve also worn it with black textured hose and a wide black belt. So, it’s a pretty versatile dress.
You may notice I’m not wearing a necklace. I don’t usually wear one with this dress because I don’t want it to compete with the ruffles and the zipper of the neckline. But maybe I just don’t have the right necklace.
Would you wear a necklace with this dress? What do you wear when it’s abnormally warm outside?

Pairing the fancy sequined skirt with a neutral colored cardigan and nude heels helps keep it from being too bling-y or overwhelming.
The fact that I paired two pieces that could be considered slightly casual but added heels and a blazer makes my outfit work appropriate without being traditional.
Ever since I bought this tie-neck top I have been wanting to pair it with these pants.
Today I’m going to share with you one of my favorite ways to this lace dress that I’ve come up with yet.

I wouldn’t wear a necklace either. I think the ruffles look good on their own!
I am wearing my summery dresses. It does not feel too early to me since it’s so warm. Today I am wearing that B&W J. Crew one with the red nacklace you gave me, a red belt, red flats and black tights. I would have gone sans tights but this dress is a bit too short for the office to wear without. But! I will wear it sans tights when you invite me over for a rooftop summer bbq at your new place!
